📍 New courses start every week at the Algarve Summer Camp 2026! ☀️ Whether you are a local or a traveler visiting Lagos, Portugal, our weekly program is designed to help us grow together in harmony with nature. 🌵 Here is what your week of discovery and connection looks like:
Monday: Meet and play together 🤝 Kick off the week by building new friendships through interactive games and icebreakers. After a healthy community lunch 🥗, we head out to discover nature, exploring the unique flora and fauna that make this region so special.
Tuesday: Seasons in Algarve (fire safety) 🔥 Understanding the Mediterranean climate is vital. We learn about the changing seasons and essential fire safety practices to protect our beautiful landscape. After lunch, we dive into the world of cork trees 🌳, learning about the „Montado“ ecosystem and why cork is one of Portugal’s most sustainable treasures.
Wednesday: Summer in Algarve (water) 💧 Midweek is all about life-giving water. We discuss the challenges of dry summers and, after lunch, get technical by learning how to accomplish water treatment 🚿. Practical skills for a sustainable future!
Thursday: How to build a shelter 🪵 Today is all about hands-on craftsmanship. The morning is spent learning the principles of natural building and shelter design. After our midday break, we continue the construction 🔨, working together to finish our group shelter project.
Friday: Group activity 🎈 We wrap up the week with a special collaborative session or team challenge to celebrate our progress. After one last lunch together, we gather for offboarding and goodbye 🫂, sharing reflections before heading home with new skills and memories.

The camp takes place in the breathtaking surroundings of Lagos and the surrounding natural parks of the Algarve. Spaces are limited for each age group to ensure a high-quality, personal experience with our passionate teachers.
Languages spoken
Our Algarve Summer Camp 2026 is a truly multicultural experience! 🌍 While our mentors are native German, Portuguese, or English speakers, the official language of the camp is English 🇬🇧. To immerse ourselves in the local culture of Lagos, Portugal, we focus on learning Portuguese words 🇵🇹 for specifics like trees, nature, and foods. Note: If all children in a specific group share a common language other than English, the group language may vary to ensure comfort and clarity. 🌵✨
