The Algarve Summer Camp (ASC) is committed to creating a vibrant, safe, and organized environment for all participants. These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) ensure transparency and a mutual understanding of our community standards. 🌊
To secure a spot at the camp, a non-refundable deposit of 30% is required within seven days of the booking confirmation. The remaining balance must be settled no later than 30 days before the camp start date to maintain the reservation. 📅
Late bookings made within 30 days of the start date require immediate full payment upon registration. Payments can be made via bank transfer or the designated online portal, with all transaction fees covered by the participant. 💳
Participants must be between the ages of 8 and 17 at the time of the camp, unless otherwise specified for family-specific programs. It is essential that all attendees are in good physical health and capable of participating in outdoor activities like surfing and hiking. 🏄♂️
A comprehensive health declaration form, including details on allergies, medications, and dietary requirements, must be submitted at least two weeks before arrival. We reserve the right to refuse participation if a pre-existing condition poses a safety risk that cannot be managed on-site. 🩺
Safety is our absolute priority, and all participants are expected to follow the instructions of our staff and activity leaders. Failure to adhere to safety protocols or engaging in behavior that disrupts the well-being of the group may result in dismissal from the camp without a refund. 🛡️
We recommend that all families arrange personal travel and accident insurance, as ASC is not liable for personal property loss or injuries sustained outside of our supervised activity protocols. Cancellation & Refund Policy 🔄 Life happens, and we want to be fair.
The safety and satisfaction of our community are our top priorities. While we strive to provide a seamless experience, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. This policy outlines our commitment to fairness and transparency regarding cancellations and scheduling adjustments. 🤝
For cancellations made more than 60 days before the session start date, a 75% refund of the total fee will be issued. Cancellations between 30 and 60 days prior are eligible for a 50% refund, while cancellations made less than 30 days before the start date are non-refundable to cover pre-arranged logistics and staffing. 📉
In the rare event of extreme weather conditions or natural disasters that compromise the safety of our participants, ASC reserves the right to reschedule or modify sessions. While we will make every effort to provide alternatives, refunds for weather-related disruptions are handled on a case-by-case basis. ⛈️
We strongly recommend that all participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance. A good policy should cover trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and travel delays to ensure your journey to Portugal is fully protected against the unexpected. ✈️

By participating in our programs, campers and guardians acknowledge that activities such as surfing, hiking, and coastal exploration involve inherent risks associated with natural elements. These include, but are not limited to, changing weather, water conditions, and uneven terrain, all of which are part of the authentic outdoor experience we provide. 🪨
